Tho Wafrarnpa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd.. Pahiatua, report lon their annual spring cattle fair, held on Monday, as follows:-A full yarding of all classes of cattle, (lightly in cxccbs of advertised numbers, were offered to a large attendance of buyers representative, of all parlß of this and outside districts. Sorao exceptionally good lots of forward bullocks were penned. Thpso comprised the annual drafts of well-known brccilera in tho district, who have been consistent sellers at this fair for many years. These lines met with keen competition, outside buyers securing tho principal lineß. which were distributed to various districts, viz., ITawera, Otaki, Levin, Mastcrton, lokamaru, and Shannon. Rough sorts of crown bullocks were in buyers favour. This also applied generally to similar descriptions of tho other classes of cattle yarded The better class of station-bred yearlings and 2-year-olds, of which there was a good ontry, found buyers chiefly in this district at, satisfactory prices. Following tho usual custom at this sale, vendors were again prepared to meet the market, and. notwithstanding the demand for cattlo showing a slackening of late, and dull roports of outside markets, we disposed of '1500 head out of an entry of a little over 2700 head, competent judges expressing the opinion that this fair lias ao far been the most successful held this season. HIDE AND SKIN SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palnierstou North, report holding their monthly sale of hides, calfskins, mid tallow on December 11. Tannerß selected Bcvcral lines of the best hides, but for the first time since the new regulations were gazetted they took no calfskins. There was very keen competition for these, the best lines making 36? d. per lb. All other lines on the catalogues sold well at about last sale rates. Tallow prices advanced os. per cwt. on tins and casks.
