BROKEN COOK STRAIT CABLE

Tho Pacific Cablo Company's cable steamer Iris has returned to Wellington from Cook Strait, where she has been engaged on repair work in connection with a broken cablo (No. 2), tho shoru end of which lands at White's Bay in Marlborough.
