A LABOUR RALLY

IN WELLINGTON TOWN HALL.

Tho Labour Partv held a meeting in the Town Hall last night, at which some of the Labour candidates spoke a little of their stories they have told to meetings of constituents in past weeks. 'Mr .T Head was the first speaker, no accused line Massey Party of boms' representatives of tho plutocrats. Ho said some bard words about tho Liberal Party also. , , , . ... Mr \ L. Monte.ith, who is standing in' Wellington East, told of profiteering, widows' pensions, influenza benefits, and discussed also other topics, Mr. P. J.-O'Kcgan also epoke. There were no other speakers on hand at the momenli, and Mrs. Beck filled in time. Still tho other candidates did not come and' another lady spoke -until Mr. Semp'le and Mr. Eraser came Mr. fiemple was given a cordial reception. He discussed the meaning of the term "Extremists." Mr. P. Fraser exhorted the supporters of Labour-to vote on polling day. He had somo complaints, which he made with some vehemence, against his opponent, Mr. Pirani. Mr. A. W. Croskery, Labour candidate for Suburbs, .spoke ns the bulk of the people were moving out of tho tall. "Which caused him to stop soon. The meeting concluded with cheers for Labour.
