NOTES AND COMMENTS
[Bγ Glencoe.] The Gisborne Winter Meeting will be continued to-morrow. Multive, who won at his first attempt over hurdles, may be ii good, fayourito in his second attempt, The Multifid gelding is regarded as a liorso likely to tako high honours at the jumping game. The Maiden Handicap is run over five furlongs. The first day's winner Demonstrate has gone up 181b., which should stop him. Anata, .who ran very green on the first day, is sure to do better to-day. ■ ' Gazique, who has 12st. 51b. in the Waikanae Handicap, one mile, may be made a good favourite, but it. is hard to see how ho is going to beat tho Aucklandowned Sir Ralph, who is in receipt of 231b. from the top weight. Classification, lOst. lib., will be a fresh horse. ' Diavolo, list. 31b., may be favourite in tho big Steeples. Ho has a rise of 201b., but tlie distanco is a half-mile shorter. Maori Te Kanga will have plenty of supporters in the Second Hack Flat Handicap, six furlongs. This is an improving hack, and the distance will suit him. Brunswick may be the best fancied in the Hack Steeple 3. He is a great jumper and seems more at home over fences than ho. was on the flat. ' '
