WELLINGTON MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. ' ; Tho Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met last evening, when there were present: Messrs. W. V. Kuriita (in the chair), A. J. Griffiths, G. Jackson, J. London, E. Perry, W. \V. Cook, ,T. Prnndeville, ,1. N. Millard, and If. Buck. Mr. Cook reported that he had asked the Grounds Committee of the City Coun. crl to leave (the ground fees the same as they were during the war. He had heard from Mr. Frost, chairman of the commitlce, that' tho fees for the present year would be £5 ss.
Tho chairman expressed the view that tho information was satisfactory, and members of tho committee agreed. Mr. Summerhayes, referee, reported that lie hail to order a 1 Ponelce fourth (trade player off the field on Saturday for deliberately striking an opponent. Tho referee said the attack was a brutal one. and the player who was struck had to bo carried off the field. • ft was decided to suspend the Poneke player until such time as he appear* before tho committee to explain his conduct. Several clubs forwarded donations, varying from ,£1 to ,€3 35., towards the D. J). Weir Memorial Fund.
