FEEDING A & P. SHOW

:' 'A-■CREDITABLE EXHIBITION. (By Telejraph—Special Correspondent.) Feilding, February i. Fielding's fifteenth annual show wns commenced on the racofourse to-dny, the weather being delightfully fine and ■enjoyable, though somewhat warm. The attendance was not .large, the, absenco of many farmers who in other yen.us have never failed to put in nn npp'enfance on the first day being due, in some instances, to making hay "while the eun shone," whilst in other enscs pnrents were giving a welcome home to their boys, who were returning from the war zone.

i. .--".The show itself, in the matter of en- {.-■ tries, was in 'advance of last year, but J it cannot be-said that the stock penned if were lis good, on tho whole, as at some f of Oroua's preceding exhibitions. There j;: were many very fine entries, no doubt, i quite up .to the' high standard of the \. best of other years, lut the. abnormal j" season is iinqueationnbly reflected in'the ! Rtock division of the show. There is a ! "scrnsfgincss" flbout some of the exhibits [ ■ which clearly demonstrates tho 'fact that, p .not only has the season n good deal to t do witli the inferior qualitv of ponio of s.tlie stuff penned, but it looks as if some S of the exhibitors had no time to pre- \ naro for the show, owing to scarcity of j : kbour, and were quitp satisfipd'uiider j the circumstancps, Id allow' their exiiib- [••■■■ its to_tnke;'"pot luck." Neverthp'nss, tho i.. exhibition'is a'good one, and well worth seeing. '..". It is interesting tn review the-several j. yp.nrs from 1914, and from 'fiwes ':omi piled it will be seen that the total enI this vear ' outnumber last year's }' total bv ( l(!n.. and .is . the, biepest' show j, since 1915/. There is a decreased Pntry of j pigs, but in all other sections there is a j gratifying increase.
