INVESTMENT ■ SHABTJB. Prices' of investment stocks yesterday were as follow.—

EQUITABLE BUILDING COMPANY.' 'The report of the directors to be presented'at the forty-first annual meeting of the- Equitable Building Investment Co., Ltd., states, that, ■ including the amount carried forward from last year, the pro! for 1916 amounted to £9437 4s. 3d. / interim dividend, absorbing £3000, -was paid in July last. ' Thiß leaves £6437 4s. 3d. for appropriation, which your directors recommend shoull be allocated as follows: To payment of further dividend of ss. per share, £3000; reserve fund, £1000: and to carry forward the'balance, viz.* £2437 4s. 3d. During the year the board subscribed the further sum of £5500 to the Now Zealand War Loan.' The directors regret to •have to record the death of Mr. E. Balcombo Brown, who occupied a seat on the board for several years. Ho alwayß took a deep intoreßt- in the company's affairs, and his losb Is severely folt. The vacancy has been filled by the appointment of Mr. William Ferguson, of Wellington. .Messrs. . Stowe.-Kebbell. Beauchainp.andFerpruson are the .rotirine directors, and,'- being eligible, offer themselves for re-election. The retiring auditors are Messrs. E. Bucholz and W.'B.
