BRITISH AND FOREIGN SAILORS' SOCIETY
A meeting of members and supporters of tho Wellington branch of the British and Foreign Sailors'.Society wasi held at the Sailors' Eest, Queen's Chambers, on Wednesday night for the purpose of discussing matters connected with ". tho operations of the society and arnuiging a plan of campaign for the current year, but owing to causes brought about by tho present epidemic and to the fact that tho meeting was called so soon after the holidays, the attendance was not ns largo as could have been wished. .Those present were very enthusiastic in the discussion of matters relating, to the social and spiritual work of the society, but.it was doemed advisable to renew the discussion at a 'larger meeting, which will be arranged for in the course, of a few weeks, when it is expected tlte'ranks of workers will' be considerably enlarged.
