ADDINGTON MARKET
'.". By Telecrauh.— .Tew' Association.'- '.' Christchurch, Januarys. In the Addington market the ynrdiugs of fat sheep and lambs were smaller than last week, but in "other departments cn- . tries were larger. Fat cattle were some-' j what irregular, but on .the whole there ■was little change in the prices. 'A (little more .business >vas done for export in cow beef. The export buyers were operating in lamlw, on an average of about Bd. pEir lb. over all. Fat sheep prices reached almost the level of the double market before Christmas, and there was, therefore, little business done 'by tho export buyers, eupplies not being much beyond butchers' requirements. Store sheep were easier, especially backward- sorts. The first offeringf of rape lambs were in the market, and they made 17s. to 20a. 2d., which was about 3s. per head below vrhnt the vendors expected. Pigs of all classes sold well.
