Word has been received of the death at Honolulu of Mr. Stephen Scanlan, the well-known actor. Mr. Scanlan left Australia with the Cyril Maude Company. He will be admiringly icmembered by local theatre-goers as the Doctor in ''Damaged Goods" and the 1 ferocious Irish Nationalist in "General John Regan." Mr. Scanlan was an Englishman who came to Australia from Africa in 1916.
