FARM WORKERS' DISPUTE SETTLED
(R«c. August 27, 1.45 a.m.) London, August 26. Mr. Prothero (Minister of Agriculture) has settled a number of farmworkers' grievances, which threatened seriously to affect the preat harvest. Tho farmers agreed to 30s. for a fifty-four-hour week, with , 13d. ■ per hour overtime as a minimum wage, thus allowing skilled men to receivo moro.-Aue.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
