We were especially glad to see llannel and flannelette bandages, as materials arc getting scarcer ai:d more exponsive, and these bandages will c,e warmly welcomed in many p : v,.'.s. In accordance with the wishes in toi-u----letter of May 25, we at once sent all large cases of bandages and dressings to Colonel Trimble at the tirigi.do Hospital, Etaplcs, and you will be interested to hear that we are in communication with all the New Zealand hespitals in this country, and are sending them from your gifts whatever they ask for. One commandant writes tinder the date of September 131: 'Wo are very grateful for tho splendid contributions received from you of New Zealand gifts. Our men will appreciate these as coming from their own country.' Another writes: ' 'The sent wore especially welcome and much liked.' The large hospital at t,oel:enhurst had everything, and more, which they wished for, and expressed themselves as very pleased with tlio contributions sent. You may rest assured that we are most anxious to respond to 1 any appeals made to us on behalf of New Zealand men, and to make good use of tho welcome contributions you sent us, and I feel sure the shirt that comes from home will feel softer and warmer, and the socks fit better, the bandages and dressings ma/do by friends in far-off homes will heal their wounds more rapidly, and the comforts seem more precious when they see 'N.Z.' in the comer. Allow me, dear sir, to express in the name of the Order of St. John And British Red Cross • Society Joint Committee, tinder whom we work., and most especially in the name of the members of the St. John Warehouse, working under the nrcsidency of H.M. the Queen, ancf the Ladies' Committee, presided over by the Duchess of Bedford, their very grateful and Cordial thanks for your help, and that of overy one of your workers."
