POLICE CASES Messrs.. S. B. M'Oarthy, S.M., and L. G. Reid, S.M., dealt with, the polico bueiness. Thos. Clarence Pearco and Henry Thomas were each fined 25., with costs 75., because of their children's absence from school. Charles Pyo also was prosecuted by the truant officer. He was fined 10s., with costs 7s. A juvenile was remanded till Thursday on a charge of having broken and entered a dwelling at Oamaru and stolen £8. John M'Kinnon was. sentenced to three months' imprisonment for insobriety. George Albert and Erling Bergethon Anderson were each fined £2 for having behaved in a disorderly manner while drunk. Alfred Lund was convicted of a breach of the War Rcgulatione _ because he had boarded, without written permission from the authorities, a ship not exclusively engaged in coastal trade. CIVIL CASES. In the case of Henry Liudale, labourer, against E. S. Knight, a claim of £73 6s. 4d. for injuries received through the breaking of a scaffold, Mr. W.
