Tho accounts for payment totalled £11) ss. lid. Notification was received that a Select Committee has been appointed by tho House of Representatives to'inquire into and report upon matters tending to benefit and encourages tho industries of tho Dominion and the chamber was asked if it desired to place any ovidence before tho committee. Mr. Edwards said that this was a matter that should be given every consideration. He understood that the committee was doing ono cornor of tho work the National Efficiency Board was attending to, but if its recommendations were going to receive as much attention as the board's no great good would result.
