Music, supplied by .Mrs. Butler, Mrs. Shankland, Miss Laurvig, Graham and Mr. Hook, the Rev. Mr. Palmer playing the first dance. Mr. Casey acted as lI.C. The entries for the ten-minutes' entertainment competition are coming in freely, both from local and oiilside competitors, and ticket-holders will be treated to a first-class performance, besides having a chance of winning .a very useful gift. War Funds Collecting Committee,

A strong organisation, comprising representatives of the various bodies identified with patriotic work in Wellington, has been formed for the purpose of making a united appeal for funds for the Red Cross "Our Day" and for blind soldiers and sailors, terminating on October 18. Strong sub-committees have been set up, and all are working harmoniously under the main executive for the good cause. The first attraction announced is "Paddy's Market," September 21 and 22.
