ILLUSTRATING SEA AND LAND CAMPAIGNS COMMEMORATION OF WOMEN'S WORK (Roc. August 20, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 20. The committee appointed 'under Sir Alfred Monds in ll)ij to consider a war memorial hns recommended u .National War Museum 011 a vast scale, illustrating the campaigns 011 sea .:nid land in all theatres, the creation, equipment, and transport of armies, also the civilian contributions to the war, nbtably munitions, women's share in which should bs specially commemorated. A Hill I of Honour will be tho central feature of the museum, immortalising lhe greater (inures in the war. A Memorial Gallery will record the names of the fallen and the special achievements cf ships, regiments, and contingents. Large court* will exhibit implements cf var of every description, especially new weapons. Other exhibits will include captured trophies, photographs and models ot ships, trenches, .munition factories, submarines, aircraft, and tanks.
