"THE WHITE CHRYSANTHEMUM." The final perforinamco of "Very Good Eddie" at the Grand Opera House, by tlio J. and N. Tail Musical Comedy' Company, was enjoyed to the full last evening. This eveniug the company will present "The Whit-o Chrysanthemum," described as a musical comedy of a burlesque order. The plot tells of a young Englishman betrothed to tlio daughter of an American millionaire, but in the atmosphere oi Japan Reginald Arraitage forgets the heiress and succumbs to the fascinations of an English girl, who is known as O San, the Whita Chrysanthemum. The appointment. of Reginald's father as Admiral of the China Station, and his arrival. T>rinKiiiK tne American licirees, upsets tne son's menage in the bungalow in Japan. Complications ensue, and all hinds of untruthful explanations are furnished to Admiral Armitage and Cornelia Vauderdecken, the heiress. Matters aro still further complicated by the presence of Samuel Wilkins, a Londoner, with a special gift for falling foul of the .Tapanew police, and a weakness for the lair sex. A young widow lurKs in the background to enable the Admiral to be paired off i?t the finish, and an entertaining friend of Reginald's is very much in the foreground so that the heiress may meet her fate when Reginald ?!-prides to «i*or.n the dollars and his plighted troth in favour of White Chrysanthemum.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The three members of the Bunty Comedy Company who appeared in Wellington somo months ago, stage a really good Scotch comedy sketch at His .Majesty's Theatre this week. Signor and Signora Molinari are Italian vocalists of a high order, and both thoir classical and popular airs were applauded loudly. A new turn this week is Ford and Perrin, simultaneous dancers, who arc remarkably clover in their work. Other good artists aie j.Caiiame Lorenz (trapeze act), Tim and Gertie Moore (coloured coons), M'Lean and Dxury (whirlwind dancers). THE KING'S THEATRE. The season of the Griffith dramatio at-tracuj.-i, "The Birth of a Nation." at the King's Theatre, -will close to-night. This afternoon the last matinee will bo fiven. Although this season is a return, the audiences have been as big as at the opening. SUCCESSFUL COi'CERT. A very successful concert in aid of the Theosophica! Society Building Fund was held in the Masonic Hall, Boulcott Street, last evening. Tho programme bore evidence of tasteful selection, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by the largo attendance.
