Sir,—l havo been requested by tlio Head Mastore of Hio three City Sohools, umder the jurisdiction of this Committee, to express to you their appreciation and admiration of the .picture film, "The Birth of a Nation." On Friday afternoon last 700 children from the higher standards, taking advantage of your libural concession to schools, attended an afternoon production at the Lyric Theatre, which they enthusiastically enjoyed. The Head Masters unanimously agree that the play was most instructive from an educational and historical point of view, depicting the horrors of war in a most realistic way. The .representation of the struggle between the Northern and Southern States was strikingly true to history.
