They display placards: "Do not attaok, and we will not." For several days on many of the sectors on .the front the Germans havo not fired a shot., German aeroplanes dropped proclamations alleging that a popular movement is. in progress in Germany in favour of immediate negotiations for an honourable peace. Many Austro-German parties, carrying red and white flags, attempted to reach the Russian trenchos, despite the fact that,they; were fired on. Some were taken prisoner. The latter affirmed that the enemy's'ranks, especially the Socialists, desired an immediate peace. At the latest reports the Russian artillery is increasing in activity at various points.—Seute'r.
