BUSY DAYS
■ . TROOPS AT TRENTHAM.. The Twenty-third Infantry Reinforce, nients moved out of Trcntham Camp yesterday, the "left wing," as the second portion of tbo draft is called in camp, setting off on a route march to Featherston, where they will go into camp for a time. This movement of men concluded two of the busiest days that have beon experienced at Trentham. On Monday the Twenty-sixths went to Featherston by rail, and the Twenty-fifths came down to TrentJiam bv tho same means of transit. The number of these troops is equal to the population of two fair-sized New Zealand towns—and they and all their baggage wore moved between dawn and dark, while the work in connection with the Twentythirds also made heavy calls upon the staff. On top of all theso matters the orders for the movement of the "left wing" came through, and they had to be sent off with a day's rations on the march across the hill.
All arrangements for the handling of the troops were carried out without' a hitch, reflecting credit on the camp stafl ; but there will be no slackening off for a time yet, as a draft of 700 men for the Twenty-seventh Reinforcements will enter camp to-morrow, and the officers and n.c.o.'s for the Thirtieths are also going into camp this week.
