NEARLY AS GOOD AS IN 1913.
Despite submarine frijhtfulness, British trade in 1916, as represented by exports, approached to within .£19,000,000 of the great "boom" year of 1913. In that jear our exports to eDemy countries were worth JCa-l.OOO.OCO; now, of course, they are nil. Out imports last year reached the gigantio total of J5i9,152,679, in excess of 1913, the nearest approach to last year's figure. The totals are: Exports.
