Ai'ler consultation with tlto Hoard of Trade, which fixed the wholesale price to bo charged by fanners at, Is. OJd. per gallon,' and a retail pvico lo dp charged by vendors to the public at not ninro thai'i oid. per quart (as against 6d. per tjnart last winter), a visit, was made, to tho Wairarapa. district, lo .secure certain supplies for vendors. The visit was successful, inasmuch as a. supply will be available in tlto coarse, of a Few days which will wholly replace- the supplies cutoff from certain vendors by tho Dairy Fanners' Association.
