THE CABINET VACANCY
NOT TO BE FILLED 'AT ONCE. During the Hawko's Bay election contest and afterwards statements were made that Sir John Findlay -would bo taken into the Cabinet immediately. This is not correct. It is vory improbable that any appointment willbe made to fill the vacancy now existing in the Cabinet until the return of Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph AA'ar3 from England.
