She comes from Sydney direct with 120 passengers and £00 tons of cargo for Wellington. She goes south at 5 p.m: to-morrow, returning in timo to leave here at 5 p.m. on Thursday for Sydney direct.

Extensive repairs are beintr undergone at Melbourne by the barque Rothesay Bay, which was bought by' Messrs. .Rosenfeld, Hillas, and Co. from Norwegiau owners Eome months ago. When these are completed she will load p'hosphates for another trip to New Zealand. Johnston and Co. advise that the Ripple, which leaves here to-morrow, will not take any cargo for Gistorne this trip. Cargo will be received for Napier and Akitio from to-morrow morning. . The repairs necessary to the Westport dredge Eileen Ward, as a result bf striking a rook while working at that port, will probably be finished at the end of this week, when she will return to Westport. The produce steamer Te Anau arrived at Auckland yesterday from southern ports. On completion of, discharge at Auckland, probably to-morrow, she will sail for Tima.ru, Oamaru, and Bluff. She does not, as far as is at present known, call at Wellington on the way down.
