"ANZAC" DAY DINNER
. TO BE HELD ON APR.IL 23. Many in Wellington will have pleasant memories of the last "Anzao" 'Day dinner, which was hold in tho Town Hall under the auspices ,of the Wellington Patriotic Society. and proved a notable gathering in many ways. Tho Patriotic, Society already lias tho arrangements for the celebration this year in hand. Owing to the Government's idea of keening the day sacred to tho memory of those who fell in Gallipoli, and not lending countcnanco to anything that savoured of pleasure, it has been decided that it would perhaps not be fitting to hold the dinner on the evening of "Anzac" Day (April 25), so it has been arranged that tho dinner should be held on the evening of St. George's Day (April 23). Tho dinner will he held in the Town Hall, on tho same lines as last year, and thcer is little doubt that it will bo attended with tho same success. Arrangements are being made to secure the attendance of genuine "Anzacs" from all parts of New Zealand.
