Considering that the three-year-old won a double from the front at Ellerslie, the mare's display was a very pleasing one. Trenthnm Eose was given a fast five furlongs by herself. .The- Cup candidates Devotion and Mascot were tried out over a mile on the ■course proper, and the Oaks winner waa well clear of her companion at the finish. This was a reversal of the form when the pair galloped on Saturday. Miss Deval was very sore over the first part of a 6ix furlongs gallop" oil tho grass, but she finished freely enough. Prince Laddo galloped a mile on.tne-tan.-He was brought home by Battle Song, and the last seven furlpnga took Imiu. 32Jsec. fcieadown moved more freely than he usually does in a seven furlongs gallop with.
