TROUBLE WITH THE GERMAN DEPUTIES Uondon, December 14 The Austrian Cabinet has resigned.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Amsterdam, December 14. A telegram from Vienna states that the resignation of the Ministry is due partly to the opposition of a number of German deputies, and. partly to the question of constitutional lelationship with Hungary. A message from Vienna states that the Emperor personally asked Herr Koerber's Cabinet to resign. The incident has caused a sensation, as it is considered a revolutionary action.— Arts.-N.Z. A report from Vienna states that the Emperor Karl asked Herr Spitzmueller to form, a Cabinet. As he is without any political influence, the significance of the appointment has proved that the Emperor intends to begin his reign with an absolute regime. Count Berchtold will be the new Foreign Secretary—Aus.-N.Z.' Cable Assn. [Count' Berchtold was the Austrian Foreign Minister in the opening stages 16 war -' resigned about the time of the Italian intervention, when he was succeeded by Baron Burian cle Rajecz.] DESIRE FOR PEACE APPARENT (Rec. December 15, .1-1.10 p.m.) i London, December 14. The "Morning Post's" Hungarian correspondent points out that lierr Spitzmueller's appointment shows that the financial and commercial interests of Austria are. strongly desirous of peace. ' Spitzmueller represents the Rothschild groups politically. There is no doubt that the Emperor himself is desirous of peace. Baron Buriau de Rajecz and Count Tisza initiated _ the peace proposals in order to 'deprive their opponents of weapons which might be used against them-at the forthcoming meetings of the delegations in the Reichsra'th and the Diet.—Auj.-N.Z.
