TRADE AFTER THE WAR
Mr. Arthur Chamberlain, presiding at the annual meeting of lCynoohs,! Ltd., at Birmingham, -said lie had' seen statements in the newspapers about what was termed an armament ring, but he did not know anything of it, and he very much' doubted if it was true. As to what was going to happen after the war, lie noticed Mr. Winston. Churchill said, "Look after the war and after the war will look after itself." He was afraid Mr. Churchill lad b&en completely carried away by liis desire. to coin a phrase. After tlie war would not look after itself, and unless England looked after it now, and looked after it very seriously and very wisely, wo should onter oii a period of distress and' hardship equal ,to any in our history. . _ ' . . ~
