BELGIAN XMAS FAIR
fc The suburbs eastwards of Mount Victoria have combined for the praiseworthy, object of raising funds to bo devoted to tho relief of destitute Belgian children. Tho Lord Mayor of London has made a strong appeal on behalf of two and a half million children, two million being under 12 years of age. Kilbirnie Park on Friday and Saturday next will be a, hive of business and fun. Ladies from Seatoun, Miraraar, Lyall Bav, Maranui, Boseneath, Kilbirnie, and Ha'taitai will sell from some fifty stalls produce, cakes, sweets, fancy goods, books, etc. There aro 15,000 prizes for 15,000 surprise ticket holders. There will be fun at the Mock Court, and music, vocal and instrumental, in the concert marquee. Tho skilled sport can win prizes at skittles, Aunt Sally, hoop-la, and other games. For tho children there will be sports controlled by a. special committee. The park will be brilliantly lighted at night, and on Saturday evening the special attraction will be a marine explosion, timed for 7.15 o'clock.
