CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
TO NEW ZEALANDERS AT THE FRONT. Tho Minister of Defence (Hon. Jj Allen) has telegraphed to the heads on the various religious denominations the text of a Christmas message which lie is sending to our soldiers and sailors on active*' service. Ho asks that it be notified as. widely as possible that all people aro: specially invited to carry out at Si o'clock on Christmas morning what is; indicated -by the message, which reads?' as follows:— "To New Zealand's sons and daughters across tho seas. Christmas greetings" from your countrymen, who aro nrouft of your splendid achievements and whri are in continual union with you in spirit) and thought. Make this union mora real by joining with us, wherever yoll may _ he, at 8 o'clock on Christmari. momine, at which hour every New! Zealander has been invited to pray for' your protection and continued success; for restoration to hcnlth of all sick anrl wounded ; for comfort to those Who suffer; and for your safe return after the work'yon set yourselves to do has been accomplished, and a lasting anrt • honourable peace has been won."
