INVESTMENT SHAKES. / Yesterday's quotations for investment shores were as follow:—

Messrs. Murray, .Roberts, and Co. report that they offered a catalogue of 3700 sheepskins and- 350 hides. Prices for sound pelted skins wore fully maintained ai last sale's rates, but for damaged and inferior pelted skins prices -were slightly easier, although not to any considerable extent. There was a keen inquiry for butchers' green and salted skins, at prices somewhat in advance of those ruling last sale. Hides fully maintained last sale's rates, the only change being in calf, which were slightly easier. Tallow was in good demand at prices fully equal to last sale. The only wool offered' was in bags and fadges, all bales being held for the next crutchings salo on September 1. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Irt-d., report having offered a good catalogue. Competition was good throughout the sale, and prices for skins and hides were on a par with'those ruling ' : at the previous sale. . The total quantity of wheat for which space has been;arrayed for shipment to England as 6500 sacks, and it is said that Uo further space will be available. There have .been several sales of wheat during the week, principally Tuscan, and for.this variety prices equal to 4s. sd. and 4s. 6d. at country stations were pajid. The quantity of wheat offering is limited, and it. is apparent that there is now not a large amount held by farmers. Oats and chaff are still unchanged. There is not a large quantity bf potatoes coming .forward, and most of the offerings are in small lots. The price, is unchanged, £6 ss. at country stations is still being paid for immediate delivery.
