SECTOR'S LUCKY BETS
Albert Edward Aston, a commission agent, recently sued the Rev. Sidney. Richard Itimmer, rector of Morcott, Uppingham, for £115 18s., due 011 betting transactions, in the King's Bench Division before Mr. Justice Ridley. Council for the plaintiff said that for many years his client and-the defendant had betting transactions together. The rector met ivith good fortune and received large sums of money. Mr. Justice Ridley: Was it :liorse-rae-ing? • Counsel: Yes, and on an extensive scale. Mr. Justice Ridley: A dreadful thing! Counsel: Ho seems to have had great luck and very good information for many years. Judgment was given for the defendant, with costs.
