INFANTILE PARALYSIS
SIX CASES IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT. The Public. Health Department vesterday received advice of six fresh cases of infantile paralysis within tho Wellington Health District, reported from Paekakariki, Hastings, Motueka; Ohau, Waverley, and Elthara., ANOTHER DEATH AT CISBORNE. Br Telogroph—Press Association. Gisborne, April 7., A 14-months-old child, admitted to the Isolation Hospital a week ago from Kepongaere, - died this morning. This is the sixth death since tho epidemic broke out. A Native gjrl 8, years of age, from Muriwai, has been admitted to the hospital, also another Native boy, 11 years of age, from Tologa Bay. So far seven of the patients have been discharged, the majority having been cured, , whilst some will require to have massage treatment. A DEATH IN CHRiSTCHURCH. By -Telesranh—Press Association. ' Chrlstchurch, April 7. 'A' woman aged 30 years died this morning of infantile paralysis—tho third adult to succumb to the disease lately. _ One of the others was 30, and thet third 49 years of age.
