RAISING THE TWELFTH NORTH ISLAND DOES EXCELLENTLY CAMP NEWS The mobilisation of the 12th Reinforcements has now proceeded sufficiently far for the military ~ authorities to make a statement as to the success or otherwise of the raising of tho draft. The authorities stated yesterday that tho mobilisation had been' satisfactory. The Wellington Military District had doiio excellently, and so had the Auckland Military District. No official statement was available yesterday, as to what the South Island had done, except that Nelson had sent a full quota. However, it is understood that Ota go will show a small shortage, and: that Canterbury also will be short of its quota. The authorities state that they still want more men, particularly infantrymen.
