CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR SOLDIERS
Inquiries been made at The Dominion by pepol? who wish to know if the troopships' 'will , take Christmas boxes for the men at the front', and if any charge will lie made for carrying them. The Defence Department states that if the goods are well packed' and addressed through Captain Bilton, No. 3 Shed, King's Wharf, Wellington, .they will be forwarded by the troopships, and will be carried freo 011 rail and ship 1 The presents, should bo packed in boxes; and should bo nonperishable, as far as possible,. as' they may take a good while to reach the man for whom they are intended. Tho packages.must bo clearly addressed, and should bear tho name of the sender.
