OAMARU LOAN SUBSCRIBED

Of the Oamaru electricity loan of £30,000 at 5 per cent., with 1 per cent, sinking fund, £22,600 has been subscribed, the applications including one for £1i,500. No difficulty in floating the remainder before the money is actually required is anticipated. Mr. E. Hall, who has been an employee of Mr. T. J. Katlibone, sawmiller, Carterton, for a number of years, was on Tuesday afternoon presented with a pipe and tobacco pouch by the' employees and employer as -a token of esteem in leaving to follow farming pursuits. Tenders for inland mail services for' 1916 anil 1916-1918 are called for in this issue, and will -be received at the .several chief post offices in t'lio Dominion until September 80.
