STEALING ART UNION TICKETS
YOUNG MAJST, HEAVILY FINED. . (Hj {Telegraph — Press Association.! o y Danneuirke, August 31. A" young man named. George Amos Curran was fined £10, in default two months' imprisonment, for stealing an art union book in connection with, the Pahiatua Patriotic Carnival. The evidence showed that he sold several tickets. The Justices considered that the public should he protected against, the exploitation of patriotic funds.
