A RETURNED TROOPER'S COMPLAINT.

Sir, —I arrived back from Egypt early I in June and was informed any returned men would set no further chance to get back, and I was discharged, and iv 9 were told we should receive our discharge as soon as our. characters arrived from Egypt. I called at tho Record Office in Brandon Street four or fivo times, without any satisfaction, wrote to the C.O. of that branch on July 11, 25, and August 4, and' received no answer to eitlier of. my letters. It being sixteen weeks .since I left Egypt, surely my character lias arrived by now. Could you or anv of your readers inform me the corrcct' official or branch of tbe|Defence Department to apply to receivo my discharge ' papers ?
