Since the dynamiting of tho safe at Miramar waterworks qn Saturday night and tho robbery at the Miramar Golf House, the Wellington detective staff has been liard' at work'endeavouring to sheet home the crimes. • The detectivos got on the trail of suspects, and yesterday arrested two raea m tlie' City, who will be charged with the offences. , The arrested men are William Stocks bridge, alias Devenport, and Robert Stockbridgo._ The accused will appearin the Court -this morning. x Chief Detective Boddam stated last evening that the arrest (if the police suspicions are justified) was the result of excellent work by the detectives, and that no special credit is due to any particular officer.
