Lino have been advised by their' principals in Melbourne that tho chartered, steamer Olan Parquhar was to have left New York for Auckland and Wellington, via Panama Canal, on August 24. On inauiry at the local office of the company yesterday it was ascertained . that no news of bar departure had been received. Advice has been received by Messrs. Dalgety and Co., looal. agents for tho U.S. and A. Line, to the effect that their chartered steamer Norman Monarch left New* York for the four -New. Zealand main ports on July 20.
