FAMOUS TENNIS PLAYER'S LAST ■- . LETTER. . ' (Rec. July 30, 10.45. p.m.) v London, July 30. Officers state that Anthony Wilding had charge of tliree-pounder,' and directed tho firing from early in the morning to the middle of tho afternoon, when he entered his dug-out. He was kilted an hour later. An official report spoke highly of his work. His last letter was written on the day lie was killed. In it ho said: "For the first time in seven and a half months I have a job which is likely to end in my gun, myself, and tho wholo outfit being blown to hell.
