Joseph Farrow ronowed his application for portion only of Section 1, Block XIII, Tararua S.D., and it was resolved to decline to subdivide this land now.. R. AA T . Pope applied for a license to split silver pine and totara sleepers on area which he lias been granted a permit to occupy in Block XVI, Mariganui S.D.—lt was resolved to grant the license at current royalties, and on usual conditions, cutting to be under supervision of the ranger, and notice to be given before any timber is removed. It was resolved • to allow the late sublessees of Sections 6 and 10, Bloclc XII, and Section Block XVI, Huangarua S.D., to remain in occupation of these sections for the present, month,to month, from July 1, 1915, until further notice at the rents hitherto paid. ' Applications for a permit to occupy Section 15, Mataroa Suburbs, 3J- acres, were received from Messrs. T. Barron and A. T. May.—lt was resolved to grant the permit to T. Barron on the eamo terms as fixed for the permit issued to last caretaker. E. Johns applied for a permit to occupy Sections 9 and. 10, Block VIII, Pongaroa Township, area oa. 2r. Op.—lt was resolved to grant him the permit from year to year, at a rent of i£2 per annum, subject to the usual conditions.

H. G. Pliyn applied for a lease of the clear portion ol either Section 2 or '5, Bloclc VIII, Mangamui S.D.—lt was resolved to grant him a permit to Occupy the clear i portion of Section 2, east of AVaimarino Stream, for 5 years, under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent of 6d. per acre per annum, subject to the usual conditions. 1 E. V. Dixou, who holds a permit to occupy about 16 perches near Owhango from year to year, applied to convert it to a lease for six or seven years—lt was resolved to decline to alter his present tenure. W. Stevens applied for a permit to occupy all section in Block 11, Ninia Township. It was resolved to approve for a term of five years at a rental of 2s. Od. per acre, subject to tho usual conditions and to determination at any time. Permit to be subject to Sections 2, 3, and 6 being selected.at any time on renewable lease. A. R. Pannin, occupier of Section 15, Block X, Ohinewairua, applied for a permit to piimp ( water-from lagoon (on, opposite eido of road) to his section, which is not permanently watered. It was resolved to grant the permit at a. rental of 2s. per annum, subject to the safeguards mentioned by the ranger. C. H. Armstrong applied for a lease of Section 8, Block IV, Ngamatoa, 59 acres. Laird Bros.' application for Section 6, Block VII, Whirinaki, was again considered, and it was. resolved to decline. J. Shcahou applied for a , permit to graze about, 10 acres of felled portion of Section 6, Block XII, Manganui, 'and it was resolved to grant it' from year to year under Section .130 of tho Land A.ct, 1908, at a rent of £1 10s. per annum subject to the usual conditions. Muffridgo applied for a leaso of the grassed portion of Section G, Block XII, Manganui S.D. for the purpaso of erecting buildings thereon. -It was resolved to decline, as thcro is a prior application for a grazing right, and it is not advisablo to allow lands held under temporary permits to bo encumbered by buildings. Adsett and Manning applied.for a mill sito of 24 acres out of an area of 450 acres in Block IV, Kaitieke S.D., now being allotted to them for milling purposes, and it was resolved to approve under Section 307 of the Land Act, 1908, for a term of, three years in such locality, and at such annual rent as the Commissioner may sea tit to fix. J. G. Martin applied for a permit to cut firewood on his grazing area in tho south-east corner of Scction 22, Block VI, Makotuku, and it was resolved to approve at the usual royalties, provided that he cuts only dead trees and does not interfero with the standing bush. Strip 5 chains wide to be excluded from licenses along Whakapapa. River; tramway rights and right to set aside mill sites to be reserved. In consideration of surrender by Prouso Lumber, Ltd., of their milling option over Sections 1 and 6, Block V, Karioi 'S.D., and over 450 acres, Block IV, Kaitieke, and to allow credit for rebates to which tliev aro entitled on account of milling timber destroyed or.found inaccessible o» lands comprised in their present milling licenses it was further Tesolved to hold for their future use milling timber on such area west of railway line in Blocs IV Kaitieke R.D., as will produce a royalty of .£5290 12s. 2d., in tho terras of Commissioner's memoranda of July 20 and 28.
