It will ba seen, however, that the total money realised by means of the Quee.ii election was .£63,658 9s. 6d. (representing 7,639,017 twopenny votes), leaving a difference of i2!oi 7s. Uf that amount over JjIOOO was represented in cash (tickets for which had been put ia in time, but though the money had been counted by an official, ho personally had not so far had time to count it). The money was still in a leather tag in the treasurer's office yesterday afternoon, awaiting tho count. The balance had either to bo accounted for in cash or vote tickets. Mr. M'lntosh states that later on he hopes to be able to give a detailed statement setting out the receipts and expenditure in every stall that did business at the carnival held in the Park and in the bazaar.
