NAPIER PARK MEETING PAEK STEEPLECHASE WON BY SANDY PAUL. (By Telegraph—Bresa Association.) Napier, June 26. The Napier Park Racing Club's Winter Meeting was concluded to-day, in line weather. Heavy rain during tho night made the going fairly soft, and in consequence some of the horses could not act in it Tho totalisator investments totalled Ji1G,745, against ,£17,839 on the first day last year, making a total of J!31,93i for the meeting, compared with J232,840 for the corresponding meeting last year. Sandy Paul, Merrie 'Lad, Naupata, and Nimblefoot led the field on tho last round. Running very fast, Braeburn made a lot of ground round the home bend, and at the last fcnce was closo up to the leaders. A great struggle was fought out in the straight, and Braeburn won on the post by a, head. The favourite was several lengths away. Flingot, Beldame, and Vi finished next, and Monologue was last.
