FROCKS AND FRILLS.
Is there not some subtle fascination about a charming little evening frock in a delicate shade that just sets off the wearers' charm? And when it has that air of simple distinction that betokens style, why even the mere male finds something to look at in an evening dress, ladies who are looking forward to an evening at a Town Hall concert or at the Opera House or a private function will do well to note carefully a sensational offer that Te Aro House is making for three days only on Monday, Tuesday, and "Wednesday. Dainty Evening Gowns, Smart Evening Cloaks, and Stylish Cloth Capes of French origin, along with exquisitely embroidered White Muslin Princess Petticoats, are to be had for the remarkable price of only 295. 6d. each, in the Showrooms at To Aro House in Cuba Street. The price is net, but the goods include Ninons, Lace, and Charmeuse, and are all fresh, clean, and quite up-to-date.—Advt.
At the Petone Oddfellows' Hall on Saturday evening, before a large audience, the local Comedy Club produced the comedy, 'Tacing the Music," in aid of the Queen Carnival Fund. The production was well received.
