ASSOCIATION'S QUARTERLY' REPORT. The report of the Council of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis' Association, to be presented at the quarterly meeting on May 26, states that the suggestions made bv the council that scnool-chil-dren's championships might be conducted .by afißliated associations and the winners to be decided at some centre to be agreed upon has been submitted to affiliated associations for thoir consideration. The management committee submits the matter of the inter-island representative matches to the council for favourable consideration: . Matches cculd he arranged between "A" and "B" teams that second-grade players may' be given an opportunity to compete. Mr. P. Wmte-Parsons's resignation as a member of the committeo was accepted with great regret due to his transfer .to Christchurch. A record of his many services to tennis was ordered to be made on tho minutes. Mr. E. Salmond has been appointed to :-lio vacancy. The committee expresses the opinion that.the right to rehandicap turnnament players after the first round should not continue. That j.ll events, advertised to be played should be played> but. recognises that in handicap events a minimum of entrants is permissible. The committee Approving tournaments to have power to limit the number to four as a minimum if it thinks fit. The Hawke's Bay Association applied for the New Zealand Championships for 1916, to be held in Hawke' e Bay., The committeo, informed it that the present committee does not wish to tie the hands of any incoming committee in tho matter.

The proposed changes in the constitution and rules of the Australasian. Association is still under consideration by the committee, which desires however to advise delegates _ and associations of the present position of affairs. In order that New Zealand may liave iv full representation of delegates in Sydney Mr.. Boss Goro has been requested to act as a. delegate in place of Mr.H. Y. Braddon, who was unable to accept reappointment. 1 The committee is still awaiting word from Australia as to the amount of £300 received as part of the distribution of £2300 of the Davis Oup proceeds among affiliated associations. The Australasian Championships, 1915, have been.allotted to the Queensland Association.
