At the last Napier Park racos Deeley, llio riclor of the first horse, Multifual, was unable to draw tlio requisite weight when he returned to the scalcs, and as a result chc liorso was disqualified. Bodenliam, the second horse,was declared, the winner, and there was then a frantic search, for destroyed tickets. Quite a number wero found, pieced together, and handed in. They wore the subject, of inquiry by the committee of the club, when it was deoidcd not to pay out on any defaced tickets, but to hand the amount of unclaimed dividends as a donation to the Hospital. Tlio Racing Club has since forwarded a cliequo of £180 12s. for the Hospital.
