Mr. Buttle, who was a son of one of the old missionaries, has many relatives' in the Dominion, and will specially be remembered by his work for foreign missions. It was decided to publish various pamphlets on various subjects for the education of tho people, with special reference to the young. It was agreed to appoint the Rev. W. .Walker as chaplain to the Trentham Military Camp for a year, arrangements to be made to give better attention to military camps, and a special grant of .£IOO was made from the mission fund to secure thi9. Each, church was recommended to secure rolls of honour on which the names of men belonging to. the churches who have gone to the front shall be enrolled, In receiving reports and balance-sheets of the various mission properties vested in the Methodist Church, a unique and interesting item of income occurs in tho Grey Institute balance-sheet, New Plymouth, viz., .£lO lis. lOd. royalty on oil. The famous Taranaki oil wells are' situated on this mission property, and for the first time royalties havo been received.

The Rev. W. G. Maslin has tendered his resignation as a minister of (the Methodist Church, and his resignation has been accepted.
