- ' o ' AtWetio beat St. Anna's juniors by eight wickets. St. Anne's, batting first, put on 178 (J. Hayden 58, Waller 44, Grey 18, Rouse 17). Athletio replied, with 172 (Cunningham 86, Brooke 88, Hollis 38, S. Wilson 16. Paton 14, Mills 14). In St. Anne's second innings a rot set }n and they were all disposed of for 61, J. Hayden (24) be-hnr-the only • double-figuro scorer. Athletic, required 63 runs to win, end got them -with the loss of two wickets (Jock Cunningham'47 not out, Brooke 10). Mills' took seven wickets for the winners- and Grey seven for the losers. Selwyu (65 and-124)'defeated Star (69 and 44). Donaldson (82 not out, and Huxford 21) batted best for Selwyn, and Donaldson, four wickets for 19, and Buck four for 22, bowled best. MID-WEEK CRICKET. The mid-week games will continue on the Basin Reserve on Wednesday next. All matches are to start at 2.80 p.m. sharp. Playing against The Dominion at Kelburn Park on Saturday, Kernot's compiled 188 for nine wickets, Taylor (60) and Wright (42, rot out) being the principal batsmen. The Dominion, who were handicapped l by the_absen.ee of several of their players, replied with 69, Wright, Reed, and Hamerton being the only ones to Teach double figures. Simm seoured most of the wickets for Kernot's, and Hamerton and Binnie howled, best for The Dominion.
