SHARP FIGHT WITH SOUTH AFRICAN REBELS.
'TWELVE HUNDKEI>-!REPOESED (Rec. January-25, 9.30 p.m.) Pretoria, January 25. Official.—Twelve-hundred rebels, wif& four guns t under Eomp Maritz, at-, tacked Upington, on the Bochnana land border, on Sunday, but was repulsed, removing many of their dead and wounded, besides leaving twelve killed and twenty-three wounded on the field! Ninety-six prisoners and a Maxim were' w taken. .?■ Three of the Union forces, under Van de Venter, were frilled and twenty-tao wounded.
